19 people arrested in latest Operation Knight Rider report: Birmingham police

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Birmingham Police Department provided an update Wednesday on arrests and seizures as part of Operation Knight Rider.

According to BPD, 19 arrests were made during the week of May 6-12 as part of the operation. In addition, seven vehicles (three of which were reported stolen) were impounded and 11 firearms were seized.


Operation Knight Rider aims to tackle illegal show driving and street racing in Birmingham. In one month, this resulted in a total of 34 arrests. Officers also seized a total of 25 vehicles and seized 22 weapons.

Officers also recovered various controlled substances, including four pounds of marijuana, 39 grams of cocaine and 228 grams of methamphetamine.

Here is the list of suspects arrested following the Operation Knight Rider patrol from May 6 to 12:

  • Clantarius Armstrong, 33, of Birmingham. Charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Felony Warrant, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Makia Arrington, 29, of Fairfield. Charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (2nd Degree). She was booked into the Jefferson County Jail. A handgun was seized during his arrest.
  • Emya Bass, 22, from Birmingham. Responsible for exhibition management. She was booked into the Birmingham City Jail. An AR pistol was seized during his arrest.
  • Jaylon Butler, 30, of Birmingham. Charged with Criminal Attempt to Elude, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Reasonable and Prudent Speeding. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail. A handgun was seized during his arrest.
  • Adarius Colston, 21, of Birmingham. Charged with receiving stolen property 1st degree. He is also charged in Homewood with Felony Eluding and Reckless Endangerment. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail. A handgun was seized during his arrest.
  • James Evans, 31, from Birmingham. Charged with criminal attempt to allude. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Eddie Harris, 40, of Birmingham. Charged with Failure to Appear, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and FTA Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Terrell Howard, 31, of Birmingham. Charged with Trafficking, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail. Two handguns were seized during his arrest.
  • Fredrick Jackson, 38, of Birmingham. Charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession with Intent to Distribute, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Jatyron Julius, 21, of Birmingham. Charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (2nd Degree). He was booked into the Birmingham City Jail.
  • William Lockett, 33, of Birmingham. Charged with 2nd Degree Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of a Prescription, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Birmingham City Jail.
  • Richard Morrow, 37, of Birmingham. Charged with 3rd degree robbery. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
  • De'Michael Nollie, 23, of Birmingham. Accused of attempted escape. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail. A handgun was seized during his arrest.
  • Charles Pruitt, 22, of Birmingham. Charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession with Intent to Distribute, and Theft of Property 2nd Degree. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail. Three handguns were seized during his arrest, including two Glock switches.
  • Javoris Reasor, 27, of Homewood. Charged with domestic violence choking. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Sami Rowaid, 18, of Vestavia. Responsible for exhibition management. He was booked into the Birmingham City Jail.
  • Antarrius Sanders, 20, of Birmingham. Charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Romond Underwood, 30, midfielder. Charged with trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Tevin Zeigler, 31, of Birmingham. Charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.

Operation Knight Rider plans to continue over the coming months.
